Service Details: Supplying 1 - 2 mixes a month on cassette at an affordable price was what Mix Connection was about. Out of the 8 megamixes/remixes I got from this service, I was impressed. Although in saying that some mixes were abit raw around the edges. The fact it came on audio cassette let it down aswell, but for those of you that dont know "DMC started out on cassette" A Mix Connection Newsletter also came with the cassette featuring whats happening with the service and other goings on in the music biz.

Mix Connection was started in 1989 by U.K remixer and ex Jack Trax producer Tim Raidl. Supplying 1 - 2 mixes a month on cassette at an affordable price was what Mix Connection was about. It eventually went into a mix catalogue where you could order the mixes that would best suit your needs. The first catalogue featured 22 mixes to choose from and a new catalogue was going to be out every 4 - 6 weeks. Sadly another list never came and Tim ceased the trading of "Mix Connection". From what I can make out Tim had opened a record shop in Luton with ex Bluebird Records manager Gary and probably needed more time to concentrate on this project. The shop was called Soul Sense Record and was on Stuart Street. I have been trying to track Tim down to get the full story but sadly the only lead I got was Soul Sense and this has closed its doors to. Tim continued to do production, mainly underground drum and bass 12's, and he also had a mix featured on the Music Factory Mastermix Service.
